rent infrastructure within the Moyne Shire has resulted in large gaps of youth recreation provision. The Port Fairy Skate and Play Space provides a contemporary and vibrant youth and recreation space design for people interested in activates outside of traditional sports. The facility draws inspiration from the local landscape character and natural geological formations caused by local Maar Volcanic eruptions.
The proposed concept design offers family friendly and aesthetically please spaces that promote sociability and encourage active and healthy lifestyles. The facility co locates the active recreation program to offer a precnct that suits a variety of interests. Extensive drainage resolution was provided at concept design phase to ensure the project remained feasible and items such as the enclosed bowl could remain within the design. This phase also saw Convic engage and manage a number of specialist consultants to provide site investigations as required.
