MURRAY SKATEPARK
Located within the developing Murray sporting precinct within Annandale, the extension to the Murray skatepark brings a contemporary competition street facility to the region.
In line with council objectives, background studies and community consultation outcomes, the development looks to attract competition wheeled sports to the region. The development is the first of a staged approach and complements the future plans whilst and the existing adjacent facility.
The skate park will promote a high level of technical street skating allowing coaching and competitions to take place. Whilst the design focuses on high level riding it is still important to provide features that encourage progression and appeal to beginner skill levels also.
Several unique and vibrant fabricated steel elements promote a unique rider experience whilst making the facility recognizable and synonyms with Townsville.
