Lismore Skate Park Opening Celebrates Community Strength & Renewal

The opening of the Lismore Skate Park marks far more than the arrival of a new skate destination — it stands as a powerful symbol of Lismore’s recovery and resilience following the devastating floods.

Located within the city’s revitalised civic precinct, the park has been designed as a vibrant, inclusive space that brings people together through movement, culture, and community connection. Catering to all ages and abilities, the facility provides opportunities for recreation, progression, and social interaction in the heart of the town.

Beyond its role as a community hub, the skate park also represents an exciting pathway for emerging athletes, offering a world-class environment where the next generation can train, develop their skills, and aspire toward events such as the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

“It’s the best park I’ve ever skated and will provide an amazing space for the whole community for years to come.” — Arisa Trew, Olympic Gold Medallist
