Early works are now underway at the Kilbirnie Skate & Youth Park, marking a major milestone for this long-awaited community project in the heart of Pōneke.

Nearly a decade in the making, the project has been shaped through extensive consultation with the local skate community, mana whenua, schools, and residents. With work now on site, the vision is rapidly taking shape.

The Kilbirnie Skate & Youth Park represents one of Convic’s largest projects in our 25-year history. As Head Contractor, Convic is delivering all site-wide civil works, including car parks, public lighting, hard and soft landscaping, playgrounds, and a world-class skatepark designed to support future Olympic and elite-level pathways for wheeled sport athletes in Aotearoa New Zealand.
