Convic’s recently completed South Hedland Youth Space, which is Australia’s largest skate park has opened with the construction fences coming down on Monday 9 February five weeks ahead of schedule.
At 3300m2 the South Hedland Youth Space is now Australia’s largest skate park, and is a major component in the revitalisation of South Hedland CBD with major benefit and value for youth and families.
Mayor Kelly Howlett has said the project is a result of positive community engagement and collaboration with youth, residents, industry and government. She also commended Convic for “…their professionalism, flexibility and efforts in working with the Town of Port Hedland to construct and finish the skate park ahead of schedule.”
