MORTON RD S&C HUB SKATE PARK
Working in conjunction with the wider community and sports hub development the Morton Road Skate Park meanders down the natural fall of the site between the existing trees and vegetation to realise a fully integrated design approach.
Located in Christie Downs an area famous for its eye-catching coastline, the design language encapsulates the sandy shades and forms of wet and dry coastline. Vibrant blue coping lines, organic concrete colours and varying steel material use creates a dynamic and captivating user experience.
An enclosed bowl with differing heights and large open street area provides a range of skate features for all users’ styles and abilities in direct response to community input and to further complement the surrounding skate park network.
Purpose built seating and spectator zones utilise the natural shade of the trees and inviting access points interact with the facility’s surroundings.
