Parks and Open Spaces National Landscape Architecture Award

The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) Awards showcases the positive impact landscape architecture has on Australian lives through the built and natural environments.

The Adelaide City Skate Park recently won the highly acclaimed National Landscape Architecture Awards in the Parks and Open Spaces category.

The judges said “….The project utilizes the site’s topography, integrates the existing tree canopy and manages contaminated fill in a mature environmental approach that has enhanced the outcome. The team is commended for creating an inclusive public space for all users and skill levels that also supports international competitions, celebrates youth and, importantly, builds a sense of community.”
