Cairns Esplanade Skate Park

Recognising exceptional work in sustainable settlement, urban design, landscape principles and green infrastructure across the country, the AILA awarded Cairns Esplanade Skate Park the 2008 National Design Award. The project’s integrated landscape ties existing beach aesthetics with a foreshore sports facility including flexible spaces for beach volleyball and car parking or special events.
